Last Seen In The Water

Starshield was a perfect town, peaceful and beautiful, beside a sparkling river. Children played happily under the trees. But in the summer of 1987, everything changed. Aquaside Resort, once a happy place, became a scene of terrible violence. Six people-children, adults, teens-were killed over a month. The youngest were the easiest targets. The resort owner, heartbroken and scared, left the resort, hoping to forget what happened.

18 years later, Evie Fraser, a high school student, started having nightmares. She relived the 1987 killings in her dreams. Every night, she felt like she was drowning. She felt a strong need to find out what happened. She began to investigate the town's past.

Then, the resort reopened. New owners, unaware of its dark history, spent money fixing it up. They wanted to bring happiness back. But the past wouldn't be forgotten. A week after the reopening, someone disappeared. Their last name started with the same letter as the first victim in 1987. Then another person vanished. And another. It was clear that something terrible was happening again.

Evie has to solve the mystery before more people are killed. The killer is still out there. Will Evie find out the truth, or will Starshield become a place of death again? The river holds the secrets, and the past is about to repeat itself.
