Synopsis Rhea wakes up in a dim white room filled with the smell of damp walls and antiseptic. Yellow lights flicker overhead. She's dressed in a hospital gown, her body aching as fragments of memory return - the screech of tires, blinding headlights, then darkness. The room is almost empty. No windows. No door she can see. Only a television mounted on the wall, a massive mirror beside it, and a CCTV camera watching from the corner of the ceiling. Suddenly, the television turns on by itself. What she sees makes her blood run cold. On the screen is herself - waking up in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors and her crying family. They hold her hand, speak to her, smile at her... as if she's the real Rhea. Terrified and confused, Rhea stares at the screen. If she's trapped in this room... then who is the girl living her life?

It's been almost a hundred years since Earth's civilizations fell, leaving only ruins and memories. Long before the collapse, they began taking humans, but now, everyone knows who they are and they fear them. The few who manage to return from their captivity tell stories of how these creatures treat humans like animals or children, tending to them like pets or slaves. Most survivors live in hidden cities, avoiding the ancient ruined cities at all costs. But not Jace and his crew. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. No matter the cost.
