Orm is accused of murder. All the evidence points to her, even though she insists she has never killed anyone and can't remember anything that happened that night.
She is sentenced to life imprisonment in Infernum, a prison located on an uninhabited island filled with dangerous inmates. Rumor has it that no one has ever made it out of Infernum alive-or even survived there for more than a month.
Only monsters survive in a place like that, and one of them is Ling, the woman who confessed her love to Orm eight years ago, only to be brutally rejected.
