Ivy is

seventeen years old, but her eyes carried the kind of sadness people twice her age could not explain. She had soft brown skin that glowed under the morning sun, long dark curls that always seemed slightly messy no matter how hard she tried, and deep hazel eyes that revealed emotions she constantly fought to hide.
