Ivy is seventeen years old, but her eyes carried the kind of sadness people twice her age could not explain. She had soft brown skin that glowed under the morning sun, long dark curls that always seemed slightly messy no matter how hard she tried, and deep hazel eyes that revealed emotions she constantly fought to hide. A small scar rested just above her left eyebrow, a silent reminder of a past she never talked about. At school, people described Ivy in different ways. Some called her quiet, others called her mysterious, while a few believed she was simply difficult to understand. But the truth was far more complicated than anyone imagined. She loved rainy evenings, music, pancakes with honey syrup, and writing thoughts she would never dare say out loud. Even when surrounded by friends, there was always a part of her that felt distant, like she was trapped between two versions of herself. No one knew what truly went on inside her mind. Not her teachers. Not her classmates. Not even her closest friends. One body. Two souls. One trying to survive, the other trying to escape. And as the days passed, the line between who Ivy truly was and who she was becoming slowly began to disappear.
