Above the beat

In Republic City dance studio where ballet and hip-hop collide, disciplined ballet instructor Kaia and free-spirited hip-hop teacher Aren are forced to share more than just soundproofing issues. What begins as frustration over noise turns into unexpected collaboration when their passion is in danger. As friendships form, grief lingers, and the city threatens to cut funding for the arts, Kaia and Aren must learn to move together onstage and in life, before everything they care about is lost.
