Hello, my name is y/n l/n I moved to South Korea three years ago with my adopted younger sister Lana, we came here for Lana to go to college and she was doing great at first, until she started to hang around the wrong crowd when I confronted about her choices I found out the truth, she owed someone $575,000 she promised she would handle it but as her older sister I knew I had to help her, a month later as I was walking to get on the train a man in a suit approached me asking if I wanted to play a game called ddakji and said every time I win I get 100,000 won and even though it would only be a fraction of what we owe I know that it could be a huge help so I gave it a try but as some might have guessed I sucked at it and since I had no money on my I have had to get slapped until I got it right but after a few tries and getting slapped so many times I got dizzy I finally got it right and when I did he he handed me 2,000 won and that now I should try to be in their "special games" that could give me so much more money and even though I was skeptical I knew I at least had to try as we need to pay off this debt desperately so when I came home that night after finding Lana asleep I entered in the games a few days later I left a note for Lana and went to go meet the people to be picked up as I got in the car as I got settled in the car I was all of a sudden knocked unconscious. I woke up in a strange room full of bunk beds as I woke up a voice on the speakers telling us "welcome to the squid games" and all im wondering is "what have I gotten myself in to?"
