Michael Jackson, after the success of his last Jackson 5 album "Moving Violation" in 1975, was 17 years old. Now living in Encino, California and living a whole new life than what he was used to in Gary, Indiana.
Although he had this new found fame and is now meeting and working with celebrities in Hollywood, he is feeling the loneliness he has ever felt in his life.
He wants a friendship with someone who likes him for him. Not because he's Michael Jackson and rich. He wants to be friends with someone who doesn't know who he is at all. But how will he do that when he's an upcoming superstar?
Mae Moore is a 17 year old girl who was born and raised on a rural farm in a religious cult. She's never experienced movies, tv, music, or literature outside of the Holy Bible. She's wanted to run away, far far away. She along with her siblings and other children in the cult had experienced abuse , sexual assault, and harassment by many members of the cult including their own parents. The summer of 1975, Mae's younger brother will have escaped the cult farm and had ran off for help. With that help came CPS, a big court case, and the separation of Mae and her family. Mae is now living in a foster home in Encino, California. How will she manage this big new world on her own, in just a few months she will be aged out of the system. What will she do?

This adaptation follows the same general premise and conflicts of the original novel, but it is written purely from my imagination. The characters keep the names Lena and Miu instead of the original names from the novel. Since I haven't been able to find a full English adaptation or translation of the novel, this story is based only on the summary and a few excerpts I have come across. Because of that, some details may differ from the original novel or the future series. This is simply a fan project created while we all wait for Lena and Miu's next series.
