Autumn (a dark romance)
I swallowed hard. "Justin, leave."
"Shut the fuck up," he whispered, his lips grazing dangerously close to mine. "You say that like you actually want me to leave."
My body stiffened. I kept my eyes anywhere but his.
He leaned closer, his breath hot against my ear. "You used to write about me. Think about me. Six years, Autumn, and I promise you-you still do. You still feel it." He lingered a kiss on my neck as he held my waist.
Something inside me snapped. I shoved him with all my strength. He stumbled back, landing on the edge of my bed.
"You're insane!" I yelled. "You broke up with me. After everything you said-how could you even think I'd want anything to do with you?"
"Because..." He trailed off deliberately, rising to his knees on the mattress, his eyes dark and certain. "...when I do this-"
He leaned forward, brushing his lips softly against my exposed thigh where my robe had shifted. A shiver raced up my spine before I could stop it.
"-you can't even push me away."
