"I would give you the world, Rome.
But to save you, I have to leave you."

Rome Arseni is a man of violence and power, but his only weakness is Mhok-his shadow, his bodyguard, and the love of his life. Their bond was unbreakable, a slow-burning fire that survived distance and danger.

But a chance encounter in the dark changes everything. Suddenly, Mhok begins to slip away. The calls stop, the smiles fade, and the man Rome trusts most started becoming a stranger.
It all leads to one devastating night on a rooftop: a final kiss, a whispered apology, and a goodbye that Rome never saw coming.
But he wasn't going to let go.

Left in the wreckage of a broken heart, Rome soon discovers that Mhok's departure wasn't a betrayal-it was a shield. When the truth behind the shadows is revealed, Rome will stop at nothing to reclaim what was his.

Even if he has to burn the world down to find the man who sacrificed everything for him.

📌 For all the new readers!

The first 4 to 5 chapters can feel a bit slow or boring. Honestly, I never thought anyone would actually end up reading or liking this story when I first started it.

Like a lot of teenagers, it began just as a fun little fanfic dream on a whim!

But looking at how far this story has come-and realizing how many were actually invested in it-really changed things for me. Once I saw that interest, I stepped up my game and put a lot of effort into improving the overall writing quality.

So don't Stop reading🤞🏻, I truly hope you enjoy the journey ahead!
