Even after finding out about Daniel, Buck still struggled to put pieces together. It was not until his fling with Tommy that he realized what the missing piece was. His sexuality, something he never questioned before.
Of course, that did not go the way he hoped... Because Tommy was not meant to be, he was not the one who truly made his heart flutter. It was never Tommy.
