Rosie the New Engine

Rosie the Little Purple Engine (isn't she pink tho-) was introduced in Season 10 of the Television Series and, like most engines introduced during this era of the show, Rosie didn't get much of a backstory.....and proceeded to not really get one......for the rest of the show.

So, I wanted to rectify that, having said that, here is my take on Rosie's Backstory sticking to the Railway Series lore for most of it with a few callbacks to other stories of similar events.
