Lance McClain was not brave.

If there was one thing he remembered, it was that.

He was trapped alone in space with friends whom he couldn't remember. They were alive, but unlike Lance, they were trapped in their comatose state, unable to wake up. Unable to help him. And unable to do anything about the fact that the sun was dying.

It was slowly being eaten away by little black dots dubbed astrophage by VLD (Voltron: Legendary Defender, the space program leading the mission to save the sun on Altea. Within the next couple of generations, over half the world's population would be gone due to the sun's temperature rapidly decreasing to a point at which most species, including Alteans, wouldn't be able to survive.

By the time he came around to /that/ shocking realization, he knew enough about himself to pose one slightly worrying question:

Why was there a giant battleship outside his window?
