Sloane Mercer came to Seoul to study architecture, not to become someone else's unfinished project.

Guarded, observant, and fluent in leaving before anyone gets too close, she knows how to survive in the spaces between things: between languages, between countries, between wanting and pretending not to.

Then she meets Yuri, a café owner with warm hands, a careful smile, and a life that already has someone else in it.
