Crossing the Line - A NASCAR Romance

Katie Jo Avalon, better known as KJ, is an ambitious automotive engineering student at Dalton University with one goal: to become a race engineer in NASCAR. While everyone else sees fast cars and packed grandstands, KJ sees strategy, precision, and a future she's willing to fight for.

When her professor offers her the chance to experience a race weekend from inside the garage at Charlotte Motor Speedway, KJ jumps at it. Thanks to one of his longtime friends working on a NASCAR team, she's suddenly surrounded by screaming engines, impossible expectations, and the pressure of a sport she's spent her whole life dreaming about.

Then she meets Tucker Gable.

Driver of the No. 27 car and nephew of legendary team owner Cooper Gable, Tucker entered the season with championship expectations. But, halfway through the year, his season is already falling apart. Bad finishes, mechanical failures, media criticism, and one mistake after another have left Tucker frustrated, angry, and desperate to prove he still belongs behind the wheel.
KJ is nothing like the people Tucker usually surrounds himself with. She doesn't care about headlines, doesn't treat him like a celebrity, and isn't afraid to call him out when his attitude gets in the way. What starts as constant arguments in the garage slowly becomes lingering looks across pit road and feelings neither of them planned for.

But with Tucker's career hanging by a thread and KJ trying to prove herself in a male-dominated industry, getting involved could risk everything they've both worked for.
