Eleven-year-old Elliana has spent her entire life learning one thing: survive.

At first, she expects the same thing she always has: disappointment, anger, and eventually being sent away.

Instead, she finds late-night hot chocolate after nightmares, game nights full of laughter, people who stay when she breaks down, and a family determined to prove that love isn't something she has to earn.

But healing isn't easy. As Elliana slowly begins to trust again, the threat of her father returning looms over everything. When a court battle threatens to tear her away from the only safe place she's ever known, Krew must fight to protect the girl who has already become part of their family.
