Fourteen-year-old Suzuki Iruma has two major flaws: he is fatally soft-hearted, and he literally cannot say the word "no." Fortunately, he has a twin sister to make up for it. Suzuki Irumi is blunt, sarcastic, fiercely protective, and possesses a glare sharp enough to terrify a grown man. Together, they've survived a grueling life of labor thanks to their completely useless parents.
But things go from bad to literal hell when their parents sell their souls to a high-ranking demon lord named Sullivan.
Expecting torture and despair, the twins are shocked when Sullivan instead begs to become their doting, hyperactive grandfather. Suddenly, they are whisked away to the Netherworld and enrolled in Babyls, an academy entirely populated by demons.
To survive, Iruma just wants to blend in and hide the fact that they are human. Irumi, on the other hand, is ready to break some horns if anyone looks at her brother wrong.
Keeping a low profile immediately goes out the window on day one when Irumi crosses paths with Asmodeus Alice-the school's elite, flame-wielding honor student. After a chaotic showdown that turns the academy upside down, the fiercely proud demon prince finds himself utterly defeated, hopelessly intrigued, and completely devoted to the sharp-tongued human girl who refused to back down.
Can a timid boy and his hot-tempered twin sister survive the demon world, or will Irumi end up ruling the Netherworld by accident?
