Peace never lasts long in Scuttle Town. After an arduous day of thwarting pirate attacks and assisting her eccentric Uncle Mimic, Shantae, the resident Half-Genie hero, finally drifts off to sleep. But her rest is cut short when a desperate voice echoes through her dreams, pleading for salvation.

Guided by the voice, Shantae discovers a mysterious, glowing ring. From its golden band emerges Shahra, the Genie of the Ring! Shahra brings a dire warning: the nefarious Erazor Djinn is systematically erasing the pages of the legendary Arabian Nights, and if he succeeds, both her world and Sequin Land will be consumed by darkness.

Shantae has faced mechanical monsters, undead hordes, and pirate queens, but she has never gone head-to-head with a primordial spirit as ancient and ruthless as the Erazor Djinn. With a burning flame bound to her chest and the clock ticking away, our belly-dancing heroine must leap into the pages of myth itself.
