I sat in the hospital chair staring at my unconscious brother. Shepard came through she still loves him it's easy to see. But I just wanted him to wake up since his implants were 'rattled' I heard the door open and looked over to see James I threw a weak smile his way. 

"Hey." I said my voice cracking as tears threatened to spill. James rushed foreward and pulled me into a hug. I knew he wasn't the type to do that.

"I want to help you." His bright eyes sparkle in the moonlight. "You can't help me! You hurt me!" By now, the tears I had been desperately trying to hold back finally slip out. "They hurt you!" As he yells, the anger in his voice eases out; his eyes are filled with familiar sadness. "I have nowhere else to go." I shoot back, taking a step away from him, afraid he will strike me as everyone else does. As soon as he notices this, his eyes widen, and his fists relax. "Come with me." He responds, hope gleaming in his eyes. I look up at the bright moon shining down on us as the breeze ruffles my hair. "Come with you?" I question. Just as he nods my dizziness takes over, sending me to the ground. His hands wrap around me, barely catching me. "Don't let them hurt me." I whisper, looking into his eyes, trying to not let the spinning world take me. "They won't hurt you anymore. Kaiden has always been one of the guys that her attention is always brought to. The heartthrob every girl wants, but no one ever gets. It took one drunk Tivelly and a Kaiden in his right mind to get them to form a friendship. They both have baggage that weighs on their hearts heavily. Isaiah woke up in his tiny bachelor apartment on the Citadel and looked at the small holographic clock on his end table. It was already three in the afternoon, he had finally gotten to bed at around six in the morning having been out all night at the bar. He and a group of people he would casually refer to as friends spent the night and most of the morning "dusting up" in Purgatory. Isaiah was already a fairly gifted biotic having spent some time in the Alliance Navy and at the Grissom Academy when he was younger. He fell into a bad crowd while in the navy and never actually made it onto a space fairing ship. His superiors described him as gifted but severely uninterested, this resulted in his discharge. He moved from San Francisco back to parents' home on the Lunar Colony. Isaiah's father was extremely disappointed in his discharge making it almost impossible to co-exist peacefully and it wasn't long before he found himself on an Alliance freighter to the Citadel. He had been given a decent sized severance allowing him to afford to get set up and live in limited comfort on the Citadel's Bachjret Ward. The neighborhood he lived in was kind of run down but the price was right and it served its purpose. A place for him to rest his head in quiet after a night out with his friends.

He just barely registered the girl's surprised expression before Drake's fist met Jamie's face. A searing pain shot through his cheek and up his nose. Something cracked loudly, and he fell to the ground, blinded with pain. There was muffled shouting and a faraway thump. Jamie reached up to touch his nose. It was sticky, and his fingers came away wet. His glasses had been punched off, and he couldn't see anything very well. Then he heard her voice. "I had it covered, you know." Jamie blinked, trying his best to see. Before he knew what was happening, she was touching his nose. He winced, expecting pain, but the throbbing began to subside until it disappeared almost entirely. Pressing something hard into his hand, Jamie realized she had found his glasses. The frames were bent and the glass had cracked. Jamie groaned. "I really should get some contacts." The girl laughed, and Jamie felt himself smile a little. She helped him to his feet, and he wobbled but stayed upright. "You okay?"
