The results of that pressure began to make her tense and miserable. Her friends encouraged her to loosen up and find a stress reliever. She took their advice unwillingly, and that was when she met Mason Taylor, a C‑ student who had started going regularly to the same badminton club. Mason became interested in Nia's unapproachable character and went up to her, but she shut him down instantly. He didn't take no for an answer. Nia reported his actions as harassment, and he was kicked out of the club, although he still didn't give up. His friends questioned his behaviour, but he refused to stop and continued trying to engage with her. Finally, he presented her with an offer-one she would regret forever.
