Julian lives behind a camera lens, viewing the world as a series of cold, cynical compositions. As a burnt-out senior photojournalism major, his only goal is to graduate and disappear into the real world. Maisie lives in a world of textures, sounds, and scents. Blind since childhood, she rules the campus's hidden Sensory Garden with fierce independence and zero patience for anyone's pity. When Julian is forced to document Maisie's fight to save her sanctuary from demolition, their worlds collide. He thinks she's a relentless ray of sunshine; she thinks his heavy, angry footsteps need to learn how to touch grass. But as the shutter clicks and the garden faces its final days, Julian is forced to do the one thing he's avoided his whole life: put down his shield and learn to see the world through her eyes.
