To Vash, the world is a system waiting to be decoded. Lines of code don't lie, data doesn't fail, and the truth is always binary: zero or one. He lives behind screens, shielded by logic and walls that nobody can breach. To Olive, reality is a tapestry of symbols, intuition, and rituals. Truth isn't found in data, but between the lines, within the tarot cards she shuffles, and in the mystical chaos she embraces without fear. Two absolute opposites sharing the exact same table. When an inexplicable mystery surfaces, both of their methods are put to the test. Vash attempts to hack the answers through cold monitors; Olive interrogates the unseen through her cards. He seeks certainty. She seeks connection. But the more they try to isolate their worlds, the more the barriers begin to bleed into each other. Between late-night rituals, cups of coffee, and the watchful eyes of a cat in a wizard hat, Vash's logic begins to glitch, and the glitch isn't in the system, but in the irrational affection he tries to hide at all costs. In a race where the truth hides between digital secrets and occult forces, they will discover that some mysteries cannot be solved alone. By the code. By the cards. You choose.

It's been almost a hundred years since Earth's civilizations fell, leaving only ruins and memories. Long before the collapse, they began taking humans, but now, everyone knows who they are and they fear them. The few who manage to return from their captivity tell stories of how these creatures treat humans like animals or children, tending to them like pets or slaves. Most survivors live in hidden cities, avoiding the ancient ruined cities at all costs. But not Jace and his crew. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. No matter the cost. Warning - This story may have -Self harm -Rape -Abuse -Suicidal thoughts and actions -Violence and gore -Uncomfortable scenes (If this isn't your first alien pet book, you know what I'm talking about)
