Jack Fisher is the typical 13 year old boy who lives in a separate universe from our own where he is the only human. This would be great, but there is one tiny problem, the dark overlord doesn't allow anyone to leave or to do anything for that matter, and no one has any say in the matter because using a magical potion, Kered, is made to be practically invincible. Atina is the fairy who took care of Jack and the only one who cares for him, but Jack Fisher realizes he is the only one to stop him. Waterbury has become his wonderland, but as he realizes the twisted reality, it becomes a nightmare.
