I would like to say that I was off the hook this summer and could finally relax.But that doesn't seem to be the cast.Because I had a summer internship with the Vale Ravens as an intern.And you know who else was a intern?Lillian Valentine.

Easy enough right? Wrong.

Because for the longest time me and Lillian our forced in the same arena doing the same task together.Those feelings that I tried to push down just keep emerging.And the worse part?

If someone had told me a year ago that I'd be working under the Vale Ravens' summer program, I would've laughed in their face.

If they'd told me I'd be paired with Cecily Whittaker every other shift, I would've called it sabotage.

And if they'd told me I'd start noticing the way she bites her lip when she's concentrating-like it's the only thing keeping her from saying something she can't take back-I would've assumed they were insane.

But here I am.

Trying to act normal.

Trying not to look at her too long.

Because Cecily doesn't just watch me.

She tracks me.

Like I'm an anomaly she can't categorize, an error she's been assigned to correct but hasn't decided how to handle yet.

Because Cecily has rules.
I've seen them.

I've watched her enforce them on everyone else like they're iron-clad.

But why does it feel like she is softer with me?
