The Last Floor

After losing her mother and being left completely alone, Eve Carter moves to Chicago to start over. The only thing she can afford is an apartment in Blackwater Heights, a huge decadent palace where tenants seem to live isolated from the rest of the world. No one talks too much, no one looks into each other's eyes and at night the building almost seems to breathe.

Before leaving her the keys, the superintendent gives her a strange rule:

"If the elevator goes past twelve after 1:13 AM, don't get off."

Eve tries to ignore him, convinced that he is just an old superstition. But one night the elevator gets stuck and continues to climb beyond the top floor of the building. When the doors open, a corridor appears in front of her that should not exist.

From that moment on, reality slowly begins to deform. The neighbours seem to know things she has never told, some details of her life begin to change without explanation and every night, at 1:13 sharp, the elevator stops in front of her door.

As paranoia grows and the line between nightmare and reality becomes thinner and thinner, Eve realises that there is something deeply wrong with Blackwater Heights.

And above all that the thirteenth floor is not empty.
