Struggling singer-artist Sand meets Ray, a rich alcoholic junkie, in a bar where Sand regularly performs band gigs. Worried that Ray might drunk-drive himself to death and cause an accident, Sand helps him get home safely. After a series of strange and curious encounters, Ray offers Sand a job---to become his drinking buddy---and against his better judgment, Sand agrees.
