With is sect siblings, a hyperactive and cheerful attitude, Wei Wuxian goes off to the Gusu Lan Sect where he and his two best friends he's grown up with since childhood were to study.
So far everything seemed to be beautiful, the wine was good, the Gusu Lan always had the prettiest night skies. And an interesting beast that lurked around every corner in the Gusu town that no one had been able to capture, much less speak to.
Tasked to investigate during his stay in Gusu Lan, Wei Wuxian tries his best to uncover who is under the mask made of what looked to be very rare material.
However, the more Wei Wuxian comes into contact with this strange creature whom he deemed to be a type of ghoul, the more he compares him to a classmate he has, one who barely anyone sees, and rarely speaks to the point everyone thought him to be mute.
Wei Wuxian doesn't pay the Lan any attention as he was drawn into the strange creature who also, showed interest in getting closer.
