Kat is a seventeen year old girl, found naked in a wood. She remembers nothing of her past life, except that it was terrible, something no human should ever have to endure, and that it was love that created that mess. She has not uttered a word since the night she was found.
Jesse was walking in the woods when he found her, naked and bloody lying on some twigs. He took off his shirt and put it on her to cover her up and keep her warm and returned home with her in his arms, to be looked after by his mother.
Kat is finally settling into the small village in west Somerset, England, but the dark figures from her past are still out to get her... Can she learn to love again before it's to late? Because without Jesse and his mother her past will fast become her future...
