I wrote "Washer of Doom" within 24 hours over the 20th and 21st May 2026 after having a piss right near a noisy washer.
The experience was unpleasant, as you'd imagine, but led to an idea that turned into a great story!
Unsure if it was a total joke or total genius, I read the finished tale to John, my husband. His take was that it was brilliant and would be a great idea to challenge oneself and one's skillset with writing a "Mundane Horror".

-Written in 24 hours (it's an honour system, people)
-Theme must be a mundane thing
-Story mustn't contain stereotypical horror elements (supernatural, magic, deaths etc)

Moon's Night
An Evil Spirit doesn't want to kill Leaz. It wants to keep him - own him Leaz is just a chill, lazy guy who handles life by making dumb jokes and avoiding drama. He isn't smart, strong, or special.
