Abby Maxwell thought becoming a housekeeper would give her a quiet life. Stoneheart Mansion had other plans.

When she arrives in 1929, the old mansion seems abandoned, but the longer she stays, the more the house begins to change. Doors open on their own, portraits shift when she isn't looking, whispers curl through the corridors, calling her name with voices that shouldn't exist. The townsfolk warn her to leave. The house whispers for her to stay.
Something inside Stoneheart is watching her, learning her, choosing her. And Abby begins to realize the truth: the house is alive. It remembers every soul it has claimed. And it has decided she will be next. But Abby Maxwell is not as helpless as Stoneheart believes.
