This story follows a family one year after the father died when he was caught up in a drug deal. The kids names are Akira and Carol. Carol is 14 years older than Akira. Akira was born in 2000 and her dad died when she was 5 now she's 6. Her moms over worked and tired but living while she works Carol now 20 takes care of her usually with her gf Ashely in this coming of age drama and comedy about family and struggle in the bad part of New York.
