Where the Tide Turns

Soren Leander left London for California, chasing sobriety after the crash that nearly destroyed him. The accident wasn't the only thing that broke him, but years of reckless nights, betrayal in love, and the quiet shame of being the family disappointment followed him across the ocean. Haunted by nightmares and surrounded by friends who still drown themselves in alcohol, he's trying to prove he can be more than the mistakes everyone remembers.

Althea Vergara risked everything to move from the Philippines to the US, carrying the weight of her family's survival on her shoulders. Long shifts, crowded apartments, and endless remittances have become her reality, yet she hides her exhaustion behind a smile, determined to keep her loved ones afloat from thousands of miles away.

Two strangers, both burdened by life, cross paths in California. What begins as fleeting glances and quiet conversations slowly deepens into something neither expected.

But when Soren's past resurfaces: the crash, the addictions, the betrayal, the ghosts he thought he left behind, and Althea discovers that even her sacrifices may be undone by something unexpected that happened back home, the tide of their struggles rises, threatening to drown what they've found.
