In a realm where magic is a physical weight, Dream is a king of nothing. Exiled to the rotting edges of the Greater Forest, his once-legendary power is turning to obsidian dust, consuming him from the inside out. George is a healer who carries the sun in his veins. Sent to investigate the spreading decay, he finds not a monster, but a man who is literally starving for light. To save Dream, George must offer his own life force-a soul-link that mends Dream's magic but leaves George fading in his place.
As former allies like Sapnap hunt them and merchants like Quackity seek to weaponise Dream's fragility, the two must navigate a landscape of shared scars and quiet midnight confessions. It is a story of the heavy price of devotion, the warmth found in a cold forest, and the desperate hope that two broken halves can finally make a whole.
