Rendall Lawson is a cold, snobbish guy who hates loud noises and long eye contact. He prefers being alone with his music. Then, he meets Zerina Larkin. She is the opposite of him-loud, talkative, and always full of energy. At first, Rendall thinks he hates her because she is too noisy. But soon, he finds her interesting. The problem is, Zerina is completely oblivious. She is convinced that a guy like Rendall would never like her back, so she doesn't even notice his efforts. Rendall, who is not used to showing his feelings, has to find a way to show her that he wants her to be his. What if the personality you once hated makes you crazy obsessed? What happens when that annoyance turns into a need to be with her every second, and you become the most overprotective man she has ever known?
