I had been locked away for nine years before my brothers allowed me to come home. I was supposed to be good, something I had been failing to do since I was a child. If I behaved I could stay, go to school for business as my brothers intended and escape the pain if only until they realized that I would never be capable of anything good no matter how badly I wanted it.

My family hated me. The world had become a terrifying place and the wounds I was trying desperately to hide weren't healing. The longer I was away from my prison the more desperate I became to stay.
