Such a find would make anyone's breath catch in their throat; the golden gleam reflecting off the precious stone encased in earth, as if screaming of its own divinity. And yet after a close inspection, one would discard such a lovely ore with a scoff of disdain, disappointment brimming to the surface of emotion as the golden metal falls to the earth once more, two devastated words escaping.

"Fool's gold."

In the end, pyrite isn't gold. Just a cheap imitation of it.
