When a catastrophic magical surge rattles the kingdom's borders, King Pure Vanilla Cookie rushes to the scene, expecting an invading army. Instead, he finds a shattered, bleeding tragedy: Shadow Milk Cookie. Stripped of his grand illusions, his theatrical stage lights, and his sanity, the fallen archetype of Deceit is crumbling into dark jam.

Driven by an ancient guilt and a hidden, unhealed grief, Pure Vanilla makes a dangerous choice. He smuggles the dying Beast into his private chambers, hiding him from his own royal guards and the other Ancients.

Locked away behind velvet curtains, a toxic, agonizing game of truth and deceit begins. Shadow Milk spits venom and mockery to hide his terrifying vulnerability, while Pure Vanilla bleeds his own magic dry to knit the jester's fractured soul back together. But as the kingdom's perimeter tightens and suspicion grows, the lines between savior and captor begin to blur.
