On the day of Sita Haran, what if Shri Ram got separated from Lakshman too?

On the cursed day of Sita Haran, after punishing Marich, Shri Ram returns to the hut, only to find it completely devastated and empty. There was none in the hut, neither Sita nor Lakshman. There were several inauspicious signs there along with some massive footprints, which suggests invasion and abduction. Initially he thinks that someone had abducted both Sita and Lakshman, but later on Jatayu informs him that Sita has been kidnapped by Ravan. But he knew nothing about Lakshman. Where is Lakshman?

Weeks later, he discovered Lakshman in such a place where he had never imagined his brother to be found. With shock, he discovered that this absence had not left Lakshman unaffected. He was affected much and had lost something very precious. Will Shri Ram accept him as he was? Will Lakshman be able to return to himself and his brother?
