Inside the howling, frozen school of Dragomira, surviving until lunchtime is considered a major academic achievement.

For Kelvin, a thoroughly anxious lad armed with an ancient relic staff, a catastrophic amount of empathy, and a terrible knack for getting wounded, life has rapidly spiraled from chasing ordinary giant rodents out of his village grain-stores to dodging literal cosmic nightmares that stalk the school corridors.

Thankfully, he isn't facing the impending doom entirely alone. He is accompanied by the rest of the ragged Heladonia squad, most notably Saida, a chaotic warlord-in-training who possesses a brilliant, despair-defying laugh and an ironclad commitment to morning pastry consumption. Together, this band of glorious misfits must somehow navigate eccentric professors who look like giant bugs, deadly tracking missions into the frozen unknown, and the freezing, lingering shadow of Chimaera, a terrifying, fear-addicted ghost from Dragomira's blood-soaked past.

Between waffles aggressively liberated at the breakfast table, secret battle scars hidden beneath heavy wool sleeves, and the ultimate, soul-crushing horror of a forty-page research proposal that might just unlock the origin of the continent's worst nightmare creatures, these students are about to make a grand discovery.

They are about to learn that true destiny isn't about winning shiny golden trophies or achieving legendary glory.
