The Space Between Us

After years of enduring an abusive father and the loss of her mother, 19-year-old university student Amara finds comfort in the one place that feels safe - the home of her best friend, Zara. What begins as quiet understanding between Amara and Zara's widowed father, Daniel, slowly develops into something deeper neither of them intended.

Bound by guilt, age difference, and loyalty to Zara, they keep their growing feelings secret. But secrecy begins to poison the friendship. When Zara discovers the relationship, she feels betrayed by the two people she trusted most. Furious and heartbroken, she gives Amara an ultimatum: end the relationship or she will expose the abuse happening in Amara's home and drag everything into the open.

Amara walks away to protect everyone, but the decision shatters all three of them. Zara loses both her father and her best friend emotionally, Daniel falls into regret and isolation, and Amara is left alone once again, wondering whether love can survive when it is born in the wrong circumstances.
