After the events of Siberia, the Winter Soldier is captured by the Avengers and locked beneath the Tower under constant surveillance. Dangerous. Unstable. Broken.

Most of them see a weapon.

She sees the man he used to be.

Years ago, long before HYDRA turned James Buchanan Barnes into the Winter Soldier, she met him during a mission gone wrong that left her trapped in 1943. Back then, he was nothing like the assassin the world fears now.

He laughed.
He teased.
He lived.

And she loved him before history destroyed him.

Now, in the present, Bucky barely remembers his own name ,let alone hers. But as fragments of Brooklyn begin resurfacing through the violence and trauma, the line between past and present slowly begins to break apart.

While the Avengers remain divided over whether Bucky deserves saving at all, she becomes the only thing tethering him to the person he once was.

But loving someone before they became a monster doesn't mean you survive the person they became after.
