Eleanor Fields has lived in an orphanage since she was three days old. She has never known her parents. Her best friend left her two years ago after he promised to write to her. He broke that promise. Eleanor thinks he's dead. Her only comfort is her old neighbor who owns horses and is obsessed with Greek mythology. And her books obviously. She has been labeled schizophrenic. Why? Because she "sees things". Her neighbor and her best friend are the only ones who ever believed her. Because they could see them too. When she arrives at Camp Half-Blood, everything changes. She longs for love, but she doesn't believe it exists. Then she met Luke.

Luke Castellen. The golden boy. He's angry. Angry at the gods. Looking for a purpose. He's been abandoned by people he loved. Then Eleanor comes. She doesn't believe in love. He wants to change that.
