After another global economic crisis and a disease that poisoned the air, the rich fled the planet in hopes of starting over on another, leaving everyone else in a completely destroyed world.
Some of the people who were left behind managed to form a new hierarchy and gain power, calling themselves The Great Houses, who rule the new world with an iron fist and a dictator on top.
Chase has been running and looking over his shoulder his entire life, that's all he's ever known. The society deems him pathetic and replaceable. But what will happen when he encounters the infamous Nathaniel Valois, a man his age whom The Council already declared the next great dictator?
This is a story that questions the society we know today, people and how they view/value power and loyalty but also the depth of true love. Does it truly know no bounds?
