In a parallel universe, Anakin leaves the jedi order with Ahsoka. They part ways to live their separate lives and Anakin falls into a pit of droids. In that moment he got massive PTSD and couldn't face any other droids. To conquer this fear, he went back down to the droid pit and just effing got over it and became Droidman through a wacky series of events that will absolutely never be explained. Somehow, Ahsoka comes around again and is gung-ho about this whole Droidman thing and becomes his sidekick, Snips. Inspired by Batman (and Robin(specifically Jason Todd Robin(loosely))).
