Evelyn Hart has spent most of her life being told who she needs to be. Perfect dancer. Perfect student. Perfect daughter. So when the school gym starts being shared with the girls' basketball team for the summer, the last person she expects to notice is Riley Carter the team captain with a sharp tongue, a permanent irritated expression, and absolutely no interest in talking to anyone unless she has to. Riley keeps to herself. She doesn't flirt. Doesn't try to impress people. And definitely doesn't care about ballet. At least that's what Evelyn thinks. But after a few quiet conversations, accidental late-night encounters after practice, and moments neither of them fully understands, Evelyn starts realizing Riley notices more than she lets on. Because maybe Riley is the first person who's ever looked at Evelyn like she's more than just perfect. And maybe Evelyn is the first girl Riley's ever wanted to take seriously. The problem? Falling for each other was never part of the plan.

Ivy Williams didn't come to Heartfelt University for drama. She came to pass her classes, chain-smoke her way through the stress, and stay out of trouble. Then she met Professor Sinclair. Cold, condescending, and infuriatingly attractive, Sinclair seems to have made it her mission to ruin Ivy's life one lecture at a time. But Ivy gives as good as she gets-and the more they clash, the more the tension starts to twist into something else. Something neither of them is ready for but both of them want far too badly. Sharp words turn into slow glances. Power plays turn personal. And soon, the only thing more dangerous than their rivalry... is what might happen if it stops. [wlw]
