When Summer's mum abandons her outside of Tej Parker and Suki's garage in Miami, she expects the loud cars and louder people to ignore her. Instead, she catches the attention of Han Lue, who notices the bruises hidden under her sleeves and the way she flinches every time someone moves too quickly.

While Dominic Toretto and the rest of the crew slowly become protective over the quiet British girl, Han becomes the safe place she keeps gravitating toward without understanding why. As Summer accidentally begins regressing whenever she feels secure, the crew spirals into panic-buying snacks, hoodies, blankets, and stuffed animals while trying to understand why a nineteen-year-old looks so confused by kindness.

Between street races, garage chaos, and found-family dinners, Summer slowly learns what being cared for actually feels like.
