COMIC SPOILERS AHEAD!
After being arrested and transferred to city jail, Zib finds himself desperate to escape and warn his coworkers at Lackadaisy about Dominic Drago's potential discovery of the establishment still running. His only way out comes in the form of Scarlett "Lettie" Mint (An Minh), a determined and ambitious investigative journalist. Hopeful to prove herself to her more professional male colleagues, Lettie offers to free Zib temporarily, in order to uncover the truth about Lackadaisy and possible connection to Marigold, as long as she promises to keep close tabs on him and ensure he makes his court date. Panicked, Zib comes up with a fake mystery involving the "disappearance" of his former bandmate, JJ, to distract her. What started out as a wild goose chase, ends up becoming a far more dark and dangerous journey neither one can escape.
