Ever since Sophie was a little girl, she dreamed of playing hockey with her brothers in the NHL. But when she was told that she couldn't be able to do that due to her being a girl, her world crashed. Ever since then, Sophie trained for days on end, to hopefully prove to the NHL that she was good enough to play, but deep down, she knew that would never happen. But little did Sophie know, the NHL had other plans for her on June 28-29, 2023. A/n: Connor Bedard doesn't come in until later in the story, as the first few chapters are just to explain Sophie's background and her journey up until June 28, 2023. I put no effort into the splash I sent in his general direction. "I know, dork. That's why I'm complaining to y'all about it."
