Daniel Hayes survived the Marines, but surviving service and learning how to live afterward turned out to be two very different things. Back home in California, civilian life feels strangely unreal. The structure is gone. The purpose is gone. Relationships feel distant, routines feel empty, and every attempt to move forward seems shadowed by the man military life forced him to become. Then a private contracting company offers him what the civilian world can't: clarity, brotherhood, money, and a mission. At first, the work feels simple enough-security operations, foreign deployments, stabilization assignments in places most Americans only hear about in headlines. Hayes tells himself it's temporary. One more contract. One more rotation. But somewhere between briefing rooms, convoy routes, and increasingly ambiguous operations overseas, the lines separating professionalism from complicity begin to blur. And by the time Hayes deploys to Bahrain, he starts to realize something deeply unsettling: The most dangerous systems in the world rarely look evil from the inside. They look necessary. As deployments escalate and quiet doubts become impossible to ignore, Hayes finds himself caught between loyalty, conscience, and a machinery far larger than he understands-a machinery that does not react kindly to the people who begin asking where the line actually is. *The Line* is a haunting political thriller about war, identity, patriotism, institutional drift, and the terrifying ease with which ordinary people can slowly become part of something they no longer recognize.

She wasn't the weakest among them; She was the reason they never fell. --•--•--•--•--•--•--•-- She lost her mother. And with her... she lost the only home she ever knew. But death wasn't the end of the truth. It was only the beginning. Before taking her last breath, Aastha's mother reveals a secret buried for fifteen years - a family that was never supposed to return into their lives. The Rathore Brothers. Seven brothers. Powerful. Ruthless. Emotionless. Men feared by the world they rule from the shadows. A world stained with blood, power, betrayal, and secrets no one dares to uncover. And now... Aastha Rathore is a part of it. A girl who walked into their dark lives carrying nothing but grief in her eyes and silence in her heart. But fate has strange ways of bringing broken souls together. Maybe some connections are written long before people meet. Maybe destiny always finds its way back. And maybe faith isn't just about believing in God- maybe it's about believing that even after destruction, life can still give you a reason to stay. Slowly, walls begin to crack. Smiles start returning. Trust forms where only darkness existed. Yet something feels wrong. Too many unanswered questions. Too many half truths. Too many people hiding things they can never say aloud. Why was Aastha kept away for fifteen years? What really happened in the past? Why does every secret somehow connect back to her? Because behind this family lies a story far more dangerous than anyone realizes. A story where destiny plays cruel games. Where faith gets tested at every step. And where nothing is ever truly what it seems. Even Aastha. She looks soft. Fragile. Innocent enough to be destroyed by their world. But sometimes the quietest people carry the loudest storms inside them. And maybe... the girl searching for a reason to live is unknowingly the reason everything is about to fall apart. ~•°AASTHA: THE FAITH By: fairytale22
