it was december 30th, 1979, when the black-lestrange couple received unexpected news: bellatrix was pregnant.

in their own way, of course - they had truly loved each other, but they had never spoken about children. and, within the silence of their home, that news ended up cracking something between them.

rodolphus lestrange was more frightened than he ever wanted to admit. he had been raised to become the perfect death eater.

loyalty, pure blood, war: that had always been the only path meant for him. but deep down, in a part of himself he never showed anyone, there was still something human left.
