After six years of addiction, homelessness, abusive relationships, and forced rehabilitation, Adelina Vasile Dimitrescu is released from rehab with nowhere left to go except the home of the wife who threw her out. Once a successful accountant and devoted mother, Adelina lost everything after her hidden drug addiction destroyed her marriage to the cold and powerful businesswoman Alcina Dimitrescu. Now sober but deeply scarred, Adelina returns to a household that no longer feels like hers, facing the daughters she abandoned and the woman who still looks at her with bitterness and disgust. As old wounds reopen and painful truths surface, both women are forced to confront whether love can survive the damage they inflicted on each other or whether some things are too broken to ever heal.
